Submitting to the GALLERY

SUBMISSION RULES

Please submit your work to the approriate folder.

You're allowed to submit ONE image a week. The week begins Monday.

Do not submit work that has been heavily photoshopped. This includes work with a sepia ( or other color ) overlay, texture overlay ( like fake bokeh ), over sharpening, a glow, heavy vingetting, HDR. Basic exposure/contrast/sharpening adjustments are allowed.

Please do not submit work with selected color. This means that the rest of the image is in black and white with a small part in color.

Photomanipulation and nudity are not allowed.

If a specific folder is missing, please let me know.

Please do not submit cellphone pictures or portraits done within your arms reach.

Photographs will be declined on the above and also if they are in the wrong folder.

Please pay attention to where you are submitting. Choose the folder which best fits your photograph.

* We reserve the right to decline any deviation into our group.

Why might my work be rejected?

If you overly Photoshop your photographs. I'm sorry, but you don't need to overlay tons of color and textures onto your work. Overly sharpening is a no no as well. I'm sorry if this offends anyone.

If you submit more than one deviation per week.

If you submit to the wrong folder.

If you haven't already, I think you should fix it so only one picture can be submitted at a time. I submitted two like a month ago, and you declined one that was really good. It annoyed me, but I guess you're busy and you do have that official rule of one at a time. The way the submissions work should match that though. Otherwise you get confusion.

I know you don't like photo's that are doctored and stuff along those lines but I took a picture and edited it to make it more emotional. It's about a War in Uganda and how we need to spred the word to end the war. I believe it'd gain more views if I was able to submit it to a group but this is the only photogroup I joined. Could it be possible if I could still submit it?

If you don't like the idea I edited it then it's alright. I'll figure out another way to spread the word.
